Privacy.
How this website collects, uses, and protects the information you share with us — through its forms, the AI chat assistant, and the webinar registration.
This Privacy Policy explains how TriTechnologies, Ltd. (“TriTechnologies,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles the information collected through this website. By using the site, its forms, or its chat assistant, you acknowledge the practices described here.
Effective date: July 9, 2026
1. Information we collect
You can share information with us four ways on this site: the contact form, the quote-request form, the AI chat assistant, and the post-job review feedback form we invite customers to after a completed project. (A webinar registration form is coming soon.) We collect what you enter into them, plus a small amount of technical data used only to protect those channels from abuse. We do not ask for, and have no use for, sensitive personal information; please don't enter any in the free-text fields.
Information you provide
Depending on the form, this may include:
- Your name and email address.
- Your phone number and your company or organization, if you provide them (these are optional).
- The location of your project — a city and state, or a combined city/state.
- Project details — the type of work you need, the type of property, the approximate square yardage, and your preferred timeline.
- Photos of your property or pavement that you choose to attach to the contact form.
- Any free-text message, project description, or chat message you choose to write.
- If you complete the post-job review feedback form: your star rating, your answers to its short improvement survey, and — only if you ask us to follow up — your name and phone number.
On the contact and quote forms, only your name, email address, and basic project information are required; on the review feedback form, only the rating and the first survey answer are. Everything else is optional. Note that the location field is interactive: city and state suggestions you type reach our systems as you type. Photos are uploaded when you press submit, just before the form itself is sent — so if a submission fails or is interrupted partway, a photo can reach our systems without its form. Orphaned photos like that are deleted automatically within about half a day.
Information collected automatically
To keep the forms and chat usable and free of spam, our backend records a limited amount of technical information:
- An abuse-prevention identifier. The record of your form submission stores a salted, one-way cryptographic hash (SHA-256) derived from your IP address — not the address itself. The hash is irreversible and is used solely to investigate spam or abuse after the fact. Your IP address is also used directly for rate limiting — the mechanism that stops a single source from flooding the forms or chat; the internal rate-limit counters it keys are kept separately from your submission and are used for nothing else.
- Turnstile verification data. Our forms and chat use Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-focused alternative to traditional CAPTCHAs, to confirm a submission comes from a person rather than a bot. The check runs in the background without requiring any action from you. To run it, Cloudflare processes a verification token and limited technical data, which may include your IP address and browser characteristics. Cloudflare's handling of that data is governed by the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
- Standard request data. Like any website, this site is delivered through a hosting and content-delivery provider (Cloudflare) that processes routine technical request data — such as IP address and browser type — as a necessary part of serving the site securely.
2. The AI chat assistant
The chat widget on this site is an automated AI assistant. If you use it:
- Your messages are stored with our backend provider (Convex) and are sent to Anthropic, the AI provider whose model generates the replies. Anthropic processes the conversation to produce each answer and, under the terms we use it through, does not train its models on your conversations; its handling of that data is governed by its commercial terms and Data Processing Addendum.
- Conversations may be reviewed by TriTechnologies staff through our access-controlled dashboard — even if you never ask for a person — to answer follow-ups and improve the assistant.
- If you use the “talk to a human” option, we collect the name, email, and note you enter, and the conversation transcript is emailed to our team so someone can follow up.
- Chat conversations are deleted automatically after 90 days of inactivity.
- Your browser keeps a copy of the conversation, a random chat identifier, and — if you ask to talk to a human — a small flag remembering that request in its local storage, so the thread survives page navigation. Nothing is written until you actually use the chat, and the identifier is random rather than derived from you. “Start a new chat” clears the conversation and issues a fresh random identifier; clearing the browser's site data removes everything.
Don't share sensitive personal information in the chat. The assistant's answers are informational only — see the Terms of Use.
3. How we use your information
We use the information you submit only to:
- Respond to your inquiry and communicate with you about your project.
- Send you an automatic confirmation that we received your submission.
- Prepare quotes, estimates, and recommendations.
- Schedule and carry out the work you ask us about.
- Read and act on post-job review feedback — and, if you ask for a follow-up, contact you about making it right.
- Keep ordinary business and project records of our correspondence.
The technical data described above is used only to prevent spam and abuse. We do not use any of this information for advertising, we do not build marketing or advertising profiles about you, and we do not send marketing or promotional email — submitting a form does not add you to any mailing list.
4. Cookies, analytics, and local storage
This website sets no cookies of its own — none for advertising, none for tracking. We do not track your activity across other websites, and because we don't sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, there is nothing here for browser signals like “Do Not Track” or the Global Privacy Control to opt out of — we treat every visitor as if those signals were on.
Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first measurement tool, to understand aggregate site traffic — which pages are visited, from what kind of device and browser, and how fast they load. It uses no cookies, stores no persistent identifier on your device, and does not follow you across sites. The measurement script is not delivered to visitors in the European Union at all, and our internal dashboard is excluded from measurement.
Local browser storage. One visitor-facing feature keeps small pieces of data in your own browser rather than in a cookie: the chat assistant stores your conversation, a random chat identifier, and a small talk-to-a-human flag (only after you use it — see section 2). Our staff-only dashboard keeps its sign-in session and display-theme preference in the signed-in staff member's own browser. None of this is used for advertising or tracking.
Cloudflare may use strictly necessary technical mechanisms — which can include strictly necessary cookies set by Cloudflare, not by us — to deliver the site securely and to operate the Turnstile spam check; these are limited to security and delivery, not advertising.
5. How your information is shared
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.
Within our business, submissions, chat conversations, and review feedback are accessible only to authorized TriTechnologies personnel, through an access-controlled internal dashboard — review feedback is further restricted to the owner alone. We share information outside the business only with the service providers that operate this website on our behalf:
- Convex — our backend and database provider. Form submissions, chat conversations, and review feedback are stored and processed on Convex's infrastructure.
- Cloudflare — our website hosting, content-delivery, bot-protection (Turnstile), analytics, and file-storage provider. Photos you attach are stored privately on Cloudflare R2.
- Resend — our email delivery provider. The confirmation and notification emails described above (which contain your submission or chat transcript) are delivered through Resend.
- Anthropic — the AI provider that processes chat messages to generate the assistant's replies (see section 2).
These providers process the information solely to provide their services to us, and they process it primarily in the United States — if you are visiting from elsewhere, your submissions are transferred to and processed in the US. We may also disclose information if required by law, where necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to the transferred information.
6. How we protect your information
The site is served over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Submitted information is readable only through our internal dashboard, which requires sign-in restricted to an owner-managed allowlist of staff accounts. Photos you attach are stored privately — they are not publicly accessible — and abuse-prevention identifiers are stored as irreversible hashes rather than raw addresses. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, but the site is built so that the sensitive path — your contact details and messages — has the fewest possible doors. If a security incident ever affects your information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
7. Data retention
Chat conversations are deleted automatically after 90 days of inactivity. Form submissions and post-job review feedback are kept for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry or feedback, carry out any resulting work, and maintain reasonable business and project records; the abuse-prevention hash is retained with the record for the same period. You may ask us to delete your information sooner — see “Your privacy choices” below.
Two practical limits on deletion: because submissions are also delivered to us by email, copies may persist in our ordinary email correspondence about your inquiry and in our providers' routine backups for a limited period; and when a submission is deleted, a minimal administrative log entry (for a form submission, the email address and form type; for review feedback, the type of record) is kept for abuse-prevention and audit purposes.
8. Your privacy choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information you have submitted through this site. To make a request, email info@tritechasphalt.com and we will respond within 45 days — usually much sooner. If a request takes longer, we will tell you why and when to expect an answer.
We are a Virginia business well below the thresholds at which state consumer-privacy laws such as the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act formally apply — but we honor access, correction, and deletion requests from anyone regardless of where they live or whether a statute requires it.
9. Children's privacy
This website and our services are intended for businesses, property owners, and other adults. The site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through this site, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our practices or legal obligations change. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page, and significant changes will be reflected here.
