Our story

Fifteen years of green pavement preservation,
built on forty.

TriTechnologies was founded in 2010 by Jeff Pokorny — founder of the Green Pavement Preservation Network™ and a four-decade veteran of the rejuvenator-grade preservation discipline he helped build.

The founder

Forty years of asphalt rejuvenation, poured into one shop.

Jeff Pokorny has spent his career on one specific problem: how to keep asphalt pavement in service longer without tearing it out. Forty years ago that was an unusual question. The default answer in the industry was, and largely still is, mill-and- overlay every fifteen years and reconstruct every thirty. Jeff's career has been the slow, patient case for a different math — the math that says binder chemistry is the problem and that the binder chemistry can be fixed directly.

"I started in the pavement preservation industry with my father and brother. Initially, we used a seal coat to protect the surface of the pavement but quickly realized that the seal coat was not truly protecting the pavement. On the contrary, it was drying it out, chipping, and causing more cracking. We wanted to help preserve our customer's asphalt investment — not repeat processes providing them short-term solutions."

— Jeff Pokorny

Along the way he founded the Green Pavement Preservation Network™ — a network of distributors and applicators he develops against a shared standard of best practices, so the discipline travels with the chemistry. The shop maintains its own application protocols, a field-data feedback loop with its chemistry partners, and a spec-discipline standard the crews train against.

TriTechnologies was founded in 2010 to put that discipline on the ground. Fifteen years in, the shop runs a national project footprint with a Fredericksburg, Virginia home base, three service lines — rejuvenation, repair, rebuild — and one operating principle: pavement preservation belongs in the same conversation as overlay and reconstruction, not below it.

The product lineage

Three rejuvenators, one chemistry lineage.

The science page covers how the chemistry works. The names and dates below are the manufacturing history that put it on a tank truck — and the partnerships that let us spec each one with confidence.

  1. 1960s

    PDC

    Coal-tar based · PDC → WD-2000 → CPR™

PDC — Pavement Dressing Conditioner — is the first rejuvenator we put down, and the oldest name in the class: a coal-tar rejuvenator/sealer in service on airfield and commercial pavement since the 1960s. The same chemistry class carried us to WD-2000, manufactured by Lone Star Specialties (formerly Reilly Industries) since 1994 — that line runs CI-5 → PS/R 07, the VOC-reduced reformulation, → WD-2000, the name carried forward after Lone Star's 2008 acquisition of Bitumen Supply — with TriTech as WD-2000's Master Distributor from 2015 to 2019. Today the traffic-grade slot belongs to CPR™ (Conditioning Pavement Rejuvenator) from Hydro-Labs. Three names from three makers, formulation tweaks along the way — but the same RT-12 coal-tar rejuvenator class underneath, with over 56 years of FAA testing history on airfield pavements.

  2. 2020

    Delta Mist®

    100% clear plant-based · certified green

Added in 2020 through partnership with Collaborative Aggregates, whose chemistry lineage traces back to the Warner Babcock Institute and the originator of the 12 Principles of Green Chemistry, Dr. John Warner. The clear option in our bio pair — per its manufacturer, plant-derived feedstock, biodegradable carrier, low VOC — validated through the NCAT Test Track at twenty million ESALs.

  3. 2026

    Revolution BLACK™

    100% black plant-based · the flagship

The newest chemistry in the line-up, from Greene Technologies Corporation — a 100% black plant-based rejuvenator. It cures true black rather than merely darker, and dries fast enough that a lot treated in the morning is back in service before lunch. Adopted in 2026 after our crews ran it in the field, it's now our default recommendation.

The three points

One mark, three service lines — rejuvenation, repair, rebuild.

The three points in our logo aren't decorative. They stand for the three service lines we run, in the order we prefer to recommend them — and, for our founder, a Trinity reference carried into the company's identity from the day he started it. The mark holds both meanings on purpose.

"I believe that God is the head of my business and he is the provision of my vision."

— Jeff Pokorny, founder
  • 01

    Rejuvenation

The flagship discipline. Bio-derived and traffic-grade rejuvenators that restore binder chemistry instead of replacing the pavement. The reason green pavement preservation is a category at all.

  • 02

    Repair

Crack sealing, Fused-Bonded Overlay™, line painting and ADA compliance. The middle-tier interventions that stop water at the surface, hold crack reflection back, and keep a lot legible and code-compliant.

  • 03

    Rebuild

When a section is past the point where preservation makes sense, we say so. Full pavement reconstruction is part of the toolkit because the honest recommendation sometimes requires it.

Trinity of values

Honesty, transparency, excellence.

Every estimate begins with a straight assessment. Every job ends with a square invoice. The three points stand for our service lines; they also stand for the values our crews carry on the lot.

  • Honesty

Every assessment ends with a recommendation, including the recommendation that you don't need us yet. We have lost work by telling owners their pavement was fine. We have also kept clients for a decade because of it.

  • Transparency

What's in the spray, what's in the invoice, what's on the data sheet, what we're certain about and what we're not. Procurement teams who ask hard questions get specific answers, not marketing claims.

  • Excellence

Crews trained against the Green Pavement Preservation Network™ protocols. Calibrated equipment. Tack tests before re-opening. Punch-list discipline at close-out. The work has to read right under a flashlight at 7 p.m., not just under a press release.

Where we work

Fredericksburg, Virginia. Out from there to the country.

Our home base is Fredericksburg, Virginia. Our deepest service density and our day-of response are concentrated across the Northern Virginia / Richmond corridor and the surrounding mid- Atlantic markets — where we know the asphalt suppliers, the inspectors, and the municipal review desks by name.

Outside that radius, we travel for projects of the right scope. The rejuvenator-grade preservation work doesn't have many qualified contractors in any given market, so portfolios with multi-state footprints frequently engage us across the country. The case-study work and the state-level coverage maps are the right places to see where we've actually put crews on the ground.

Memberships and certifications

The trade bodies we belong to, the standards we hold to.

Everything below is on the public record — the license with Virginia DPOR, the chapter listing with CAI, the vendor registration with eVA. Your procurement team can request verification by email.

  • Virginia Class A Contractor — DPOR license #2705144755 (Asphalt Paving & Seal Coating)

  • Community Associations Institute (CAI) — Washington Metropolitan Chapter business partner

  • Registered eVA vendor — Commonwealth of Virginia eProcurement
